FIDE Arbiter Trainer

Arbiter preparation

A working study desk for the FIDE Arbiter qualification — the Laws of Chess, Swiss and round-robin pairings, tie-breaks, fair play and tournament administration, drilled through scenario rulings rather than trivia.

How to use this

A sequence that works for most candidates.

  1. 1 Read a Study topic end to end — each card is one article or regulation, summarised in arbiter language with the citation you must be able to quote.
  2. 2 Drill that single category in Practice mode until you are above 85%. Wrong answers come back more often automatically.
  3. 3 Switch to Timed mode. Arbiters rule under pressure; so does the examiner.
  4. 4 Once every category is green, run the Exam simulation cold. Anything under 80% points at a topic to re-read.

Study reference

Article-by-article working notes. Citations are to the FIDE Laws of Chess in force from 1 January 2023 and to the current FIDE Handbook regulations.
